Sóller in spring: when the orange blossom comes out

If there is one time of year when the valley explains itself, it is spring. The almond trees open first, in February, and a few weeks later the orange blossom leaves the whole valley smelling of the same thing for almost a month.

Why it is the best season for walking

Temperatures sit between fifteen and the mid-twenties, the streams are still running and the Serra is green. This is the time for the Barranc de Biniaraix, the path to Fornalutx and the long routes that are unworkable in summer.

What else is happening in the valley

Easter is marked with processions through the old town, and the seasonal markets fill the square with produce from the valley. The village keeps its usual rhythm, without the pressure of August.

At the hotel, the pool and the garden are already enjoyable at midday, but the evenings still call for long sleeves on the terrace.
