Everything You Need to Know
Everything you might want to know before you arrive.
Is the Sóller train worth it?
It is the classic of the valley: a wooden train from 1912 that crosses thirteen hand-dug tunnels on its way to Palma. A single ticket costs 20 € and a return 28 €.
How do you get to Port de Sóller?
By tram. It leaves the centre and runs down to the port alongside orange groves; it is a short ride and one of the prettiest in Mallorca.
Do I need a car?
Not for the old town: you can walk it, and the hotel is right in the centre. To reach Sa Calobra or the northern coves, a car helps.
What walks are there nearby?
The Barranc de Biniaraix is the classic route of the Serra. Fornalutx, five minutes away, is considered one of the loveliest villages in Spain. And Cala Tuent and Sa Calobra are the coves of the north.
Can you arrange excursions?
Ask at reception. We know the valley and we will tell you what to do depending on how much time you have and the time of year.
When is the best time to come?
Spring and autumn if you are coming to walk: the valley is green, there are fewer people and the temperature helps. In summer the pool takes over.
